Recently, we were watching an episode of Man vs. Wild (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0883772/) with Bear Grylls. At this point, you are probably wondering what in the world does a survival show have to do with skin care? Well, at one part in the show, Bear comes across a rose plant and explains that you can eat the fruit of the rose hip after some preparation and he goes on to explain that the fruit contains more Vitamin C than an orange; up to 50% more! One tablespoon of rose hip will give the average adult more than the recommended daily allowance of 60mg of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is full of antioxidants which help counter the natural aging process.  Rose hip oil helps regenerate new skin cells without drying out the skin. In addition to Vitamin C, rose hip oil has a high Vitamin A content. This makes it perfect for treating acne, minimizing wrinkles and moisturizing the skin. You can find rose hip in several of our moisturizing products: Rosehip Hibiscus CreamVitamin C Cream, and Rich Equalizer Mask.  While it may not help you fight off a wild bear or build an impromptu shelter, rose hip should be a part of your regular skin care regime.
